thanks. I'll look for some tomorrowSoak over night with wipe out, carbon will be gone.
tried it, didn't work on hard carbonBallistol will do the job, let it soak for an hour, run a brush through several times. Then clean as normal.
I was thinking of doing this. I didn't which solvent could be in the barrel for days.Take a foam ear plug, roll it up, plug the muzzle end of the barrel, stand the barreled action up , in a plastic coffee can, fill barrel with your favorite kroil/hoppes/sea foam ect, set in the closet or out of the way, for get a out for a few days, ......get a "bore snake" these do wonders for getting leading and other fouling out in my opinion......saw you were asking about rebarreling the gun......don't give up on it yet...
Start with kroil.....that's where I would startI was thinking of doing this. I didn't which solvent could be in the barrel for days.
Is it save for a blued barrel? is it similar to JB ( a paste)? do you a brush, nylon or bronze or just patches?I use Blue Wonder Gun Cleaner and have never had an issue.
It is water soluble.
I tried kroil and JB . some carbon came off but hard carbon will not move. maybe more brushing.Start with kroil.....that's where I would start
