I had one for a year since all the 44 handies were sold out. Kicked like a mule, ammo very expensive. I do reload so solved that issue and it was deadly on deer. Way overkill and the 44 is a much better straight wall cartridge if thats what you want to use. But now with the rule changes allowing regular rifles on private property, dont see why anyone would want the 500. Many many better choices out there.
I agree with you I believe you're right on thatThose rules are only temporary.
They may very well become permanent, but not yet.
I sincerely hope they stay as are, or even add more caliber choices, but the rules in place today are temporary to be sure.
I believe the five year trial period ends next year?
