I don't know about his election date, but I think the war talk is because he is in the pocket of the Military Industrial Complex. I can only guess that some of the war fighting tools they [make/want to make] have not been [used and in need of replacements/funded] so they pull Lindsey's jingo stringIs he up for election soon? He seems to try to signal that he’s really tough when he’s up for election.
Well. If you were a German would you have helped Hitler too? Would you deserve any sympathy? The people crying over the suffering of the people in Gaza - would you also cry over the suffering of the Germans who voted Hitler into power when they suffered the consequences of their government's actions? Would you cry for the Nazis?
Just curious.
Do you mean all Germans or just the ones who voted him into power? The people crying over the suffering of the people in Gaza - would you also cry over the suffering of the Germans who voted Hitler into power when they suffered the consequences of their government's actions? The Nazis came to power because a large majority voted for them. They remained in power because they retained the support of the populace. They then reaped what they had sown.Do you mean all Germans or just the ones who voted him into power?
Again I have to ask, because of your emphasis on the proportion of Germans who supported Hitler, if you were a citizen of Germany, would you be in the minority? Are you any less hackable than they were? Is there something magical about German DNA, specifically, that predisposes them to follow such people? The Nazis came to power because a large majority voted for them. Hamas enjoys the support of the people in Gaza. They support and cheer on terrorism. I have no sympathy for them.
It also explains why no Arab nations will take them in - they bring chaos wherever they go.
It is sad that so many in the West excuse their actions and enable them with money and political support. Very sad.
It is largely a matter of indocrination. The people are told "the reason your life sucks is because of those people over there. They are responsible."Again I have to ask, because of your emphasis on the proportion of Germans who supported Hitler, if you were a citizen of Germany, would you be in the minority? If you lived in Gaza, would you be a willing human shield or a reluctant one? I think nurture is a much stronger indicator of causes than nature.
What side would you have taken if you were born into it? How do you know if you would be a reluctant human shield or an eager one?It is largely a matter of indocrination. The people are told "the reason your life sucks is because of those people over there. They are responsible."
People buy into it. They like to put the blame on anyone other than themselves. It has always been an effective technique.
It is only when things get worse that some start to wonder what the real source of their problems were.
I feel little sympathy for them.
Makes me wonder what is hiding in mosques in the US.
Irrelevant. A large part of the problem is due to Westerners who automatically side with any group who claims to be "oppressed."What side would you have taken if you were born into it? How do you know if you would be a reluctant human shield or an eager one?
I agree with a lot of this, particularly the parts about Western progressives and their indoctrination towards "oppression" oversensitiveness. But it is indeed relevant.Irrelevant. A large part of the problem is due to Westerners who automatically side with any group who claims to be "oppressed."
A political system that should be allowed to collapse is instead propped up by Western "humanitarian" aid. These people fail to realize that money is fungible. Food, medical supplies, shelter, etc. that is donated just frees up money to be spent on weapons and terror.
Nothing is going to change until the people in Gaza realize that they are their own worst enemy.
If I had been born an Aztec (back in the day) I would probably think conquering neighboring tribes and sacrificing them to appease the gods was a great thing. It does not mean that non-Aztecs should tolerate my views or indulge my fantasies. I do not buy into the moral relativism that all cultures are equal. Some are just evil and should not be tolerated, let alone appeased. You're making judgements from your own point of view without having been born a Muslim in Gaza. If you were born into that culture, would you be capable of realizing you are your own worst enemy?
The rest were complacent.Do you mean all Germans or just the ones who voted him into power?
Well. If you were a German would you have helped Hitler too? Would you deserve any sympathy?
My take on it. The people who are innocently killed in Gaza deserve sympathy. The ones who are used against their will as human shields are innocent. It’s hard to parse out who is innocent and who are willing participants. Some certainly are innocent. Some certainly are taking part with Hamas.
In 100 years we’ll all be thrown in this same boat -“they asked for it” - and we know we did not. We didn’t vote for what we have now. But we didn’t fight our way out of it either. And we have the means. The rest were complacent.
