I fear it is EXACTLY what they meant.I'm not sure this is what they meant by "Build Back Better"...
EDIT: doggydaddy beat me to it. Mea culpa.

I’m going to go with no. We won’t and that means NATO won’t. We are NATO. The problem we have with Turkey, other than it is Turkey, is that we have a lot of people there at bases. Probably should get them out at some point. Turkey is an enemy, pure and simple. An Islamist supporting state. We need to pick sides and then do what is necessar. So if the Turks get involved in a hands-on way, and IDF engages them, does NATO then attack IDF per Article 5?
According to NATO charter if a NATO member initiates the conflict, then there is no obligation for other NATO members to come to their aid and join them. Turkey would have to be attacked first. So if the Turks get involved in a hands-on way, and IDF engages them, does NATO then attack IDF per Article 5?
Lets say Turkey is attacked and the US does nothing. What is the punishment for not meeting your obligations to nato?According to NATO charter if a NATO member initiates the conflict, then there is no obligation for other NATO members to come to their aid and join them. I have no idea in the event of that hypothetical. I'm not foreseeing the IDF attacking Turkey.Lets say Turkey is attacked and the US does nothing. What is the punishment for not meeting your obligations to nato?
Same penalties the slackers that are not contributing financially per their commitments. Which is nothing. I recall Trump slapped a few of them around for not paying their fair share. But no sanctions as I recall.Lets say Turkey is attacked and the US does nothing. What is the punishment for not meeting your obligations to nato?
This. I havent heard of any militants using them as a stepping off point like Syria.I have no idea in the event of that hypothetical. I'm not foreseeing the IDF attacking Turkey.
Sounds like you now are saying that ramping up the military complex for war is the only way to pull us out of our current economic situation.
I don’t disagree with any of that. Our strength has historically been derived from industrial/ manufacturing prowess which is now lacking along with policy that inhibits our energy independence and fiscal policies that are destroying our currency. We are in a dangerous downward spiral no doubt and we’re just giving money away to boot when we have our own crisis here at home.Eh, a lot more than just military manufacturing. Look at everything we're forced to import, like electronics, SMDs, silicon etc.
Maybe the fear of that going away would be enough to convince people to bring back manufacturing.
If it wasn't for a democrat in the whitehouse, we'd be drilling for oil and mining coal to offset the sanctions on Russia, to aid Europe, and making stupid money in the process.
I think we're in a very vulnerable spot economically with the world literally going to war.

Or the Spanish American War. Or the Civil War, or Korea. Or...We wasn't prepared for WWI or WWII. We geared up over a short period of time and was able to produce what was needed plus.
Problem is today most of our manufacturing is outside the country, so it could take years to get anywhere close to supplying our own military if WWIII broke out.
We would have to rebuild our manufacturing sector.
It’s a trend replayed many times over.Well, WW2 pulled us out of the Great Depression...
it's kind of hard to lobby for ramping up the military industrial complex to prepare for war and "save our economy" and be against the military industrial complex and our foreign military entanglements. How does that jibe?Well, WW2 pulled us out of the Great Depression...
What pigs? I started hearing Black Sabbath in my head (it's Paranoid, but that's the right album) so I figured you meant War Pigs. It’s a trend replayed many times over.
Wat Pigs exist for multiple reasons; power and economical.
Not what I was saying at all. Merely stating the fact that it was WW2 that pulled us out of the Great Depression. Not a hard concept to reaad what I wrote.it's kind of hard to lobby for ramping up the military industrial complex to prepare for war and "save our economy" and be against the military industrial complex and our foreign military entanglements. How does that jibe?
How bout instead we stay out of foreign entanglements and get foreign countries to take a bigger role in the military defense of their own sphere. Curtail all of the of the foreign and domestic expenditures, give incentives to bring back manufacturing and fair trade, enact energy independence instead of hamstringing us by genuflecting to the globalist climate change cabal., secure the borders and invest all of that money into our economy.
Like him or not it seems like we were on that prosperous path with the predecessor of the current POTATUS. Everything the Biden Admin has done has been destructive to our economy.
