sweet, now i know where to turn in the junk pistol mistake that i had bought. And Im of course using it to put down more money on firearms. Or ammo, hard choices.

This would be awesome no matter where it happened, but the fact that it happened in Chicago makes it that much better.

I know that "gun buybacks" are supposed to be anonymous, but I don't buy it.

I'm sure that police surveillance is taking photos of individuals and license plates.

It was only a matter of time. I think as a group we should strive to do this more often. Well this and try to buy the collectables before granny hauls it in for meltdown. Shows just how silly these buyback programs are becoming.

The comments on the site are pure awesomeness. :):

A bunch of right thinking downstaters slamming those "poor, down trodden" shi*cagoites who are whinning and crying about how this was meant to end gun violence in the inner city. I laughed so hard my sides hurt.

But the gun buyback program was meant for criminals to give up their guns! How come people are only turning in guns worth less than they are worth? Next year there should be a rule that only guns worth more than $300 will be eligible for the $100 buyback.

This is obviously going to immediately eliminate gun violence in a city where guns are already illegal.

"Hey Billy! Where you takin' that gat?"

"Uh, shorty wants it out of the house, so we're takin' it to the buy back thing."

"How much they givin' you for that? It looks nice."

    "$100"

"I'll give you $150 for it."

    "Cool. Saves me a trip."

"Yeah, and now I can shoot some fools."
