2 years?
Do you have any rust problems since then?
I was wondering about that if the engraving take off the original finish.
I'm only guessing on this as I have not altered my Glock in this way, but I know that Glock does a nitriding process on their guns and I've been told that there is a layer of tennifer over the bare steel. Its a chemical bonding process so there is no stratafication. It seems that they are only taking off a very thin top layer of finish and not actually reaching bare steel. As I understand it this grey part is actually much harder and stronger and resistant to wear and rust than the outer black part. I would not hesitate to get this done to my own Glock except I do not find it aesthetically appealing. Also if I ever had to use it I don't want to have to explain to a jury why I killed my attacker with a pimped out gat.
Mine daily carry has been laser engraved for over 2 years now
Yeah I like it too.
But you wouldn't buy a gun that says "Joe Blow" on the slide would you?
I bought my wife a IMI SP-21 for her wedding gift, It had her married name and our wedding date! It was about $75 at a local shop.
