Please be trueI saw comments on a YouTube News post for a ch. 13 story where someone claimed that the kid had 7 wounds when he arrived at the hospital DOA. If so, damn impressive to land 7/10.

I’m curious about this as well. When I was an ICE contractor, we were required to qualify using the ICE course of fire which is considered one of the more difficult qualifications. They only require 8 shots at 25 yards; 4 from the right side of the barricade in 20 seconds and 4 from the left side in 20 seconds. I’ve seen quite a few federal agents with tenure struggle on those stages. I’m not saying 40-50 yards can’t be done in a situation like this, but a 22 year old with no formal training making those shots in this kind of situation seems like a bit of a stretch.
With all the job opportunities out there WTAF.Subject lost job employment in May, had eviction notice served likely in the last couple of weeks, so nothing to loose.
Now, if I were that hard up on cash, those 2 rifles would have fetched a pretty penny.
this narrative needs harmed. They are hung up because the good guy took out the bad guy and harms their narrative…
Precisely but tell the same lies over and over and it will become truth.I agree with his last line, "JFC", but not for the reason he posted it. Obviously doesn't know that signs carry no weight of law in Indiana.
Don’t know if that’s rhetorical, but at least one “they” is Shannon Watts in a now-deleted tweet. This guy has a screenshot of it in his video:They who?
People who don’t know any better. They won’t have a leg to stand on since no LAW was broken by the good guy.
I didn’t catch that part. If he had time to gather himself and shoot from a rest it certainly increases the likelihood of landing that first round. Still, hitting six of the remaining 9 while closing a 50 yard gap is pretty damn impressive. We don't really know the distance shot, but making a first long shot, then advancing on the shooter while still firing is something your average newbie is just not gonna be able to pull off effectively. This gent was very likely trained by somebody who knew what they were doing. As likely has put in a fair amount of time and rounds, getting it right?
One news report said that Eli pushed his girl to a safer place and steadied himself on a beam or something to make the first shot. He supported the pistol to make the long shot. So he was close to cover and ready to or actually using it?
My first thought, when it was announced that Eli was from Bartholomew County, is that some of us have likely shot with him or the grandfather that trained him? Pretty large following of competition shooters down here, from high level competitors to hillbilly's shooting for fun and self defense practice.
There are a couple of very nice ranges in the Columbus/Seymour area with serious seasoned club staffing, frequent shooting events, formal training and of course, lots of competition shooting matches. Eli and or grandfather might have partaken or maybe not? I've seen backyard shooters come out of the woodwork for a match and run with the big dogs.
I believe it started with Shannon Watts -- founder of Moms Demand Action (HQ in Indianapolis) -- claiming he was carrying illegally in the mall and posting it online. It was rapidly picked up and parroted across MSM. She has since deleted her claim but not until after the damage was done spewing lies that news media picked up and spread. They who?

Just going on this WTHR report. Of course, they might not have it all correct either. I was always skeptical of the "50 yards" reported. Eli's girlfriend supposedly said 40? Third hand info though, and they were likely estimating also? Maybe the cops will tell us the actual measurement?
Sorry, won't embed, gotta watch it on YouTube.

Again, still a lot of speculation on reporters part?Ahh ok, that makes it sound like it was 10 shots supported and then he moved in. I’d only caught bits and pieces and was under the impression he engaged from 50 yards and fired the 10 rounds as he was closing in.
