Pretty sure the govt is screwing us more than the oil companies
Correct it is our Govt and not the oil companiesPretty sure the govt is screwing us more than the oil companies
Originally it was in purple. I changed it since there is talk of this happening. It can't be a joke if it is true, right?I sure hope you just forgot to use purple. The regime in power in Venezuela has never been a friend of the US. Their oil producing machinery is in shambles. Everything that can be stolen has been. It would take years and billions of dollars to get it up and running again.
Mean while, down in Texas, they are putting out less than half of their potential due to regulations. With the wave of a pen all the lost oil from Russia could be replaced by American oil and half again as much. The people in Alaska are begging the .gov to allow them to increase production but were turned down.
It kind of makes you wonder what the whole goal of the Biden administration is, doesn't it? Even if they were not trying to destroy the country, if they were what would they be doing differently?
Yes, the oil companies produce it, sell it at market value and all too often, take the criticism. Government restricts that production, hoards the product, and taxes our use of it but gets a pass from all too many.Pretty sure the govt is screwing us more than the oil companies

Had to buy some groceries today too. Easily up 10-15% across the board. Astonishing.Fuel prices already affecting the price of groceries. I've noticed a 10-15% jump in prices already. It's only going to get higher. Might want to stock up on items that keep for a long time.
The blue states can burn federal buildings for all they care, it is 'nothing to see here...'It’s time for those oil states to do what the blue lib states do. Flip the bird to the Fed and move on (drill). What is the fed going to do, especially with elections coming up.
I'll go out on a limb here and say, he's not entirely wrong. Oil companies have plenty to do with it.
Oil companies have been raking in record profits as the price we pay at the pump goes up and up. They could choose to lower their margin a bit and help out the masses, but they won't. Their primary responsibility is to their shareholders and their shareholders demand maximized profit. 2020 was a rough year for big oil. They aren't about to cut us a break.
Now oil down $15 per barrel.
Wonder if it'll drop at the pump
