This song is who they were.

    Imagine there's no Heaven
    It's easy if you try
    No Hell below us
    Above us only sky
    Imagine all the people
    Living for today
    Ah, ah, ah-ah
    Imagine there's no countries
    It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
    And no religion, too
    Imagine all the people
    Living life in peace
    Yoo-hoo, ooh-ooh
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
    Imagine no possessions
    I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
    A brotherhood of man
    Imagine all the people
    Sharing all the world
    Yoo-hoo, ooh-ooh
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
Or, condensed version, “You will own nothing, eat ze bugs, and be happy” — dear uncle Klaus is a Beatlemaniac!

    This was awesome.
My Grandfather was not pleased with the size of his new cellar when he sold the farm and moved to town. He dug out and doubled the size of it so he could keep more canning and more potatoes, turnips, beets, celery, onions, garlic and hanging spices for sausage making all from his "table garden" he called it.
He spread black pepper all over the floor to keep the bugs out.
He got bags of husks for free from the mill to keep things in and keep them dry.
I remember the celery was planted in husks with roots still on and had to be kept wet. It did not grow, but that is how you keep celery and cabbage for a couple of months underground in the winter.
    He was prepped!

Cool story. And now most of those homes do not have adequate foundation support because they were dug out, they have no basement foundation, only a crawl foundation that is unsupported on one side.

Just a caution if someone is buying and sees this.
