I don't think that counts with rebates or coupons. Technically the store would be selling it for whatever, but then AB would be giving the rebate.

And I think minimum pricing is a myth anyhow. I see places that say "cigarettes at state minimum" (typically liquor stores) on a sign, but I know for a fact that I can go to the Speedway or BP across the street and get them cheaper.

That, or maybe the liquor stores are fibbing. Maybe the gas stations are legit. But to my other point, I often get coupons for $1.50 or $2.00 off per pack. That would push them below the state minimum, but I think since the station is reimbursed by the manufacturer it doesn't really count.

If you look at the linked document is says what the minimum is for each brand. Not sure how alcohol works…

My recollection was that drug stores were selling way below cost as a lost leader to get prescription business. A buddy once owned a liquor store and his steadiest customers were old retirees buying a bottle a day…
