No worries. Stores in Portland? San Fran? I forget which hellhole, but they now ban reusable shopping bags because they are used to shoplift. So they’ve gone back to plastic bags provided by the store.

Can't have plastic straws either. When my niece visited from Portland we took her out to dinner. She freaked out when the waitress brought plastic straws. Not in a earth worshiping tirade or anything. Just anxiety. We assured her it's fine. You're now in a sane state. It's perfectly legal. No one will arrest her. She's not killing sea turtles by drinking a soda through a plastic straw.
