It's called the UNITED States of America. Pretty sure that the President has the authority to resupply a ****ing US military base, regardless of what an "independent state" wants. Saying that Lincoln resupplied the fort to "draw fire" is like saying that we deserved the attacks on 9/11.

The governor can call in the National Guard if it wants to. The President can also but in this case he should not. He should leave it 100% up to the city, county and state to deal with it in any way they chose.
