Personally, I love rabbit meat, when it's properly cooked. When I was a single (divorced) custodial parent of 2 young boys.... we ate rabbit 2-3 times a week, from Oct to Feb.
But IMHO, you can't beat pheasant. I could consume pheasant meat, seven days a week, and never get tired of it.
Rabbit but I haven't had any in a REALLY long time. The season interferes with deer hunting. I also can't bring myself to pay the prices they want in the grocery stores.
I like squirrel OK though & I can hunt for those before & after deer.
Rodents all taste the same to me - probably because I don't eat them enough, but every time I have a squirrel, it tastes like the last time I had rabbit, and Visa Versa.
