This actually makes good sense, as the 1911 trigger pulls straight to the rear. All of my 1911s are curved, but I can definitely see how a flat trigger in that platform could work well.1911/2011 flat faced. Most others I prefer curved but don't really care all that much.
I switched the flat trigger on a X Carry Legion to a slightly curved Grayguns unit. It didn't help the accuracy any, but it did feel better on my finger. This actually makes good sense, as the 1911 trigger pulls straight to the rear. On handgun designs where the trigger pivots, I hate the flat trigger. I can shoot them, but I just don't like the feel at all. I don't like how it rolls on the finger through it's travel, and it lacks the natural support provided by a curved trigger that matches the contour of your finger. One of my P320s came with a flat trigger and I swapped it out for a curved one. I can shoot them if I have to, but I didn't see the purpose of having one gun that has drastically different trigger geometry from all of my others.
Do you like the Greyguns unit??? So much of this is personal preference...I switched the flat trigger on a X Carry Legion to a slightly curved Grayguns unit. It didn't help the accuracy any, but it did feel better on my finger.
I do like it, but due to the inaccuracy issues that gun doesn't seem a lot of use.Do you like the Greyguns unit??? So much of this is personal preference...
I like a flat-faced trigger on a few of my pistols, but would never have one on a revolver!!!
A few years ago I installed a flat trigger on my buddy's 1911. I DID NOT like the feel of that at all. He liked it though, and that's fine. If my finger was flat, the flat trigger might fell ok.1911/2011 flat faced. Most others I prefer curved but don't really care all that much.
Yeah, I can tell just by looking at this one, that I wouldn't like it.I guess that, for me, a flat face trigger is a non-issue until it is. I don’t mind them and have them on a bunch of guns. On a target AR, they feel pretty good and I do prefer them in that instance. It really depends on how it actually feels in use I guess. The trigger below is the GG Hybrid that I don’t care for. When decocked, it’s at such a severe angle that it feels awkward on the trigger finger.
The one below is much more comfortable to me
Aah... inaccuracy is no fun!I do like it, but due to the inaccuracy issues that gun doesn't seem a lot of use.
