Good customer service is also a must.

    This.
    Always this.

    Yes good tools die.

Bad gas, dead batteries, junk ammo
I've seen everything fail for one reason or another. The process we teach is simple.
    ROOT CAUSE.
    REMEDIATION.
    RETURN TO SERVICE.

I've seen a man stand on one foot in the rain and beat a rusted hitch pin out of a receiver with his steel toed boot.
Just because it's not Your fault doesn't mean you don't have to fix it.

Starting with the best, from the best, just makes the process easier.

I don't have a favorite either. I've been happy with all my purchase in the last few years and they are all different manufacturers.

    CZ
    RI
    Ruger
    Heritage
    Rossi
    Browning

    Edit: I forgot the Hi-point

    Good job by all.

Toyota. Everything they make just works. A close second is Suntory Brands. I’m really not a Japanese fanboy, but I do know what I like and they do well with vehicles and spirits.

    Revolvers S&W for sure.
EDC PSA Dagger (flame suit on) but carry what YOU shoot well and train with. Not trying to sell anyone but I've found the ported Dagger is as accurate and quicker on follow up shots than anything I've owned. I know they are inexpensive but reliability has been second to none for me through thousands of rounds. I also prefer Holosun to RMRs so maybe I'm a little weird but I know what I like and what works for me.

Did Smith Corona make some M1903A3 in WWII?
That got me thinking about the different companies in WWII that made small arms.
I wonder if we could gear up again if needed?
Yes they did, and some ammunition also. They make thermal labels now.
I would guess that companies that still make products with CNC machines and so fourth can shift over to begin making firearm parts for a war effort if needed.

For defensive handguns I’ve owned several Glocks, a few Berettas, an M&P or two and a handful of Sigs… But once I shot an H&K it was game over. I’ve had very little trigger time with them, but from the moment I picked up a VP9 I knew this was it.

For target/plinking I’ll take a Ruger Mark IV.

No real preference rifle-wise but Palmetto State Armory has never let me down with their AR/AK offerings.
