Hmm. I guess I'm at the school of thought that if the baseplate of my 17 rounder comes off and dumps all the BB's in the first magazine..I might be doing something wrong by not having a spare mag.Hmm. Okay . . . for you guys who carry a spare mag:
Do you carry it (or another) so that it's accessible with either hand?
I know a lot of guys who plan ahead and make sure they can reach their gun with either hand (or carry a second), but not as many who make sure that additional ammunition is within reach of either hand.
Damn it! just when I thought I had my EDC gear in all the right spot, someone has to come along and poke holes in my set up with logic. Sheesh.
I am often very inconvenient!
I had to learn this lesson from my late friend Louis Awerbuck over the span of a couple of years. When he "taught" me that I can't reach my strong side gun with my left hand, he recommended a second gun. I listened! Then, when I couldn't reload my strong side gun without using my support hand, I learned that I need to carry a spare mag on my strong side too.
Any suggestions for AIWB mag carriers? I'm guilty of pocket carrying spare mags, and am looking to rectify the situation.

Carry a spare mag AIWB.
Saying that, I have yet to do it...
That might work on the left side (opposite of appendix) if you wear it low enough, but that's also where your second gun should be anyway.
