SOLD. Thanks, INGO!
This is one I’d thought I’d just fall in love with, and to an extent I have, but my King Cobra is what I end up carrying.
Not sure I’d say collector grade, missing the box, but it does have the original serialized stocks, comes with a Tyler T-Grip, and I’ve provided a factory bobbed hammer (installed) for DAO use. Purchased from another INGOer. Per S&W made sometime between 1970-1972.
When I got it the screws had been boogered up a little bit from someone using the wrong screwdriver to get inside, yet I didn’t really find any signs of muckery inside when I swapped the hammer. Maybe whoever tried it gave up. I polished the burrs off the slots and went on with life.
Honest wear (but very little use from the looks of things) for 50 plus years but it’s tight as a drum with lockup, timing, etc. I can’t find an issue with it for function.
Someone might wish a super thorough cleaning to get rid of remaining burn rings, etc. I cleaned enough to be functional and didn’t want to disturb the original finish much.
Let’s go with $500 on this with the included factory bobbed hammer, will of course be providing the original hammer as pictured.
I’ll need to see the buyer’s IN DL and LTCH unless you’re already known to me, LEO, or an INGOer of enough standing and rep to confirm “good guy” (or gal) status.
I’m from Marshall Co, along the US 31 corridor in north central Indiana. I can drive as far north as South Bend, east to Warsaw, west to Hamlet, south to Kokomo, to meet.
PLEASE follow INGO protocol and use the “Conversation”/PM system for any questions, comments, offers, etc., and DO NOT post in thread. I respond to all communication ASAP.
I’ve got more pics than what I can attach, but here’s the max. Want more? Let me know.
Thanks for the look!
