    True story:

Last year I was a little delinquent in cutting the yard, went about 3 weeks without a mowing. So as I'm pissing off the lawn mower, I notice a big grey patch under the grass. I'm thinking "oh, a birds nest fell out of the tree and got buried in the grass"........ nope. Rabbit hole, 11 baby bunnies all huddled in a shallow little hole no more then 5 or 6 inches deep. Luckily the blade didn't hit any of them, but I counted all of them as they went running out of the hole and down the street to everyone else's yards to eat all their grass

I hate to think how many bunnies I have mowed into fertilizer :lmfao:

Did that once myself, when I was living in Bellmore (the place "the sticks" call "the sticks"). The bunnies in my yard nest were so small their eyes weren't even open yet. Finished mowing the back half acre and put the mower away. A few hours later, went back to look at the nest again and all da baby bunnies wuz gone!

Mama prolly just relocated them to the acre behind the back half acre.
