OP doesnt understand the law. Today, these assembled braced pistols are already considered unregistered SBRs, but we are in a grace period. (A brace itself is not a NFA item.)Thats good but yet bad to send emails. I never got anything about it. I just assumed sellers were being cautious in their posts. Probably should have posted about it in big RED letters.
That is why we dont want them posted here. They are technically NFA items. But the procedure for transferring them isnt solidified and may not even be necessary if this all shakes out in our favor.
We never "email" users. Ever. Everything is either a sticky or PM here. (I dont even know if there is a way to broadcast a message to all via PM)
Since its not a huge thing that the majority of users do, we have been notifying users about the hopefully temporary rule as they break it, and so far the vast majority have resulted in a "thanks. I understand" and they comply. Some just go away and dont get put back up. Some just comply. This guy is a red herring.
We didn't want to bring lots of attention to the issue by making a big deal about it. And since there is no penalty for breaking the rule itself, having it unwritten due to its (hopefully) temporary nature, we apply it quietly and respectfully as it comes up. You break this unwritten rule, we let you know, and you comply. No big deal for adults.
