Dish was debt ridden. Satellite is rapidly losing ground to streaming.

Only upside to Satellite is live sports...streaming lags behind by seconds. Little frustrating at watch parties. Those watching one TV know what happened before another.

Sling may have some utility, but satellite TV is way overdue to go away.

I had Dish for a few years back and it was great.... when speedy home internet was 56.6k, but me and everyone else is streaming in 4k on more than one device at a time....and I use Starlink which is slower that everyone's fiber and most everyone's cable.

No, and I hate monopolies. Satellite TV is dying fast, this will just make them a competitor in streaming with Sling attached. ATT sold out their ownership so doubt this is a sure thing…
They've had DirecTVStream for some time now and are in the streaming space.
