"I suspect the reason DeSantis chose to run this time was he thought he could take advantage of Trump's legal woes and the fallout from J6. He grossly miscalculated in any event and should've waited until "28. He took a chance, and it didn't pan out."
"I think pretty much all of the candidates entered the race for the same reason. The only problem is that none of them could foresee the future impact his indictments would have that actually helped his campaign in a significant way instead of hindering it."
