Recently my daughter (19) has expressed an interest in giving pheasant hunting a try. I know there are public land put & take hunts, but those can be difficult without a dog. Also, based on precious experience, there are way too many hunters per area and too many knuckleheads shooting recklessly.
So, anyone have any recommendations for any hunting preserves here in IN?
Yeah but it was a put & take so it was way overcrowded. But at least there were birds.I've not gone through all the pages in this thread.
Have you got your girl out?

I'm hopeful that we might be able to get out to a preserve around the holidays. That just depends how costs are at that point
+ 1 for ThornbottomIt's a bit of a hike and it's not inexpensive, but it is a great hunt...just passing it along.

Got to see my buddy and his new bird pup....got to enjoying the time and didn't take pics!
I've not hunted behind a Munsterlander before, but this pup seems to be one hell of a dog!
Life has many blessings...high on that list is the blessing of a good dog (and that is not in any way limited to bird dogs).
