The CZ P10C has been out for about a month now and it's getting close to a month since I've had mine. As bought, it had the really stiff slide release as well as the tight mag release. To date, with about 500 rounds down range, neither of those are an issue any longer. I'll admit to taking a bit of 1000 grit sand paper and polishing the back of the slide release as well as doing the mag release polish job posted over on another forum. Either of those will happen anyway with use, but I wanted to push the process along a bit.
The slide release is now perfect. I can consistently release the slide if I insert a mag with authority. I can do that on a lot of other guns, but not with nearly the same level of consistency. If I insert a mag normally, the slide release works fine with just a light touch from of the thumb. The mag release has loosened up a bunch and is now about equal to the P07 or other 75Bs I have.
What really impressed me regarding this gun was how naturally it pointed for me. When I practice shooting for SD, it's always practiced as point shooting. Not only is this pistol easy to keep on the steel out at MCFG, but it's easy to look at a spot on the steel and put three rounds into it. I normally take a bit of time to get the feel of a gun before I'll carry it, but this pistol made it's way into my holster within 48 hours of buying it. I put 200 rounds of mixed ball and SD ammo through it at PB to make sure it worked and then another 100 plus rounds out at MCFG one afternoon to see how it handled and was impressed.
I've been fortunate in that it fits most of my G23 holsters perfectly. It's hit or miss though with the Serpa holsters. I have 4 Serpas for a G21, G30, G23 and G17. It was a rattly loose fit in the G21 and G30 holster, fit well, if not a bit snugly in the G23 holster and did not fit the G17 holster at all. It locked positively though, when placed in the G21/G30 holsters. All of my leather holsters are good to go though. It's been carried for a couple of weeks now in a Kramer horsehide scabbard OWB holster I have for my G23.
Over the last couple of days, it's been carried OWB under an untucked T-shirt with the grip rubbing against my skin. I was thinking that it would prove uncomfortable, but no so as of this writing. It does get sweat soaked, but the grip texture does not bother me. I did take a file to the top of the backstrap to just break the edges on the pyramids there, but have done nothing else.
So far, things I like are the trigger, shootability, accuracy and grip texture (once toned down a bit on that back strap). Things I don't like are the sights and trigger pad feel. The sights will eventually get swapped out once something better comes along and they are better than stock 75B sights, but are still not my favorite type. I don't often use the sights, so it's not a huge issue. The trigger pad is uncomfortable after shooting for a while. I've heard others say that they take sand paper to the dingus to clean it up, but don't know that I want to do that.
Overall, I'm happy with it. It works well and is shootable. It's not perfect by any stretch, but I have confidence in it's reliability. When the .40 versions come out, I'll probably pick one up.
