Asim Taylor owes about $100,000 in child support, and an appeals court in Ohio has upheld an unusual sentence meant to make sure that bill doesn't grow: Justices reaffirmed that the Elyria man can't have any more kids until he pays up...

Seems like an odd ruling. Have consensual sex to reproduce, get jailed/punished. What's the legality on this sort of thing?

Especially since men can't actually bear children, meaning that a woman he accidentally got pregnant (say if he took reasonable precautions and contraceptives were used) would be...an accessory to the crime of childbirth?

The guy is in his mid-30's, has 4 kids with multiple baby mamas, and owes $100k+ in child support...

What girl out there wouldn't be dying to hook up with him next? Seems par for the course with the way girls choose to hook up with complete idiots nowadays, so the ruling seems to let the queens off the hook.

Having kids is a big business these days for many women. Watch a few of "welfare queen" type videos on youtube. A big thing now is also to try and get kids diagnosed with learning/mental disorders so they can get a social security check on top of everything else.
Not sure though how locking up the non paying father helps anything. Just puts more of a strain on our system and costs the taxpayers even more money.

Some people know exactly how often they need to get pregnant to keep the checks coming. Sounds like this guy hooked up with a few gals that thought they could get extra money(or decided kids were too much hassle and want to get money w/o adding to the flock). My wife through Junior Auxiliary tried helped a girl (24) with 2 kids 7 & 8. Her only source of income was the boy's disability and Food stamps. It's not a good living by any means, quite frankly it was disgusting, but if you're lazy there is money to get.
