I got a Happy Birthday letter from George W. Bush. It was actually signed by him. My sister used to work for the Bush Administration so i think she had something to do with it...

Happy Birthday man. Cool letter and I don't want to rain on your parade. But I don't think he really signed it.

Why, cause it's not in crayon?

    Sorry, couldn't resist...

Happy Birthday Paul, that is really cool and truly an honor. 21 is the last good birthday..

Can you imagine a letter passing over The President of the United States desk to wish Paul in Indiana a Happy 21st Birthday? My wife gets letters from the President for teaching at a Blue Ribbon school or something like that. I don't think he signed those either. :):

    It's really cool though!

That is the President's signature on a personal birthday wish sent from the White House.

Congratulations Paul. That is an honor.

Now that's cool, and I have no problem believing its validity

    Happy belated birthday Paul

ETA: I don't think the White House uses a machine either, a quick google search turned up some other birthday letters, all in the same form, but with subtle signature differences in placement and letter formation.

It is his real signature because you can see darker parts where he put the pen/marker on the paper from the back side.

Paul, I now have your address. I will be coming to steal your Sig so that I may scrap it and almost have enough money for a 44oz frozen fountain drink at Speedway.

Wow GW's sig is about a legible as mine.... :D

Whether it was written by the Pres or a robot, it is still cool. I mean it is on the POTUS letterhead and everything.

We were talking about this last night, and it would have been so much better had she went to the store and bought a standard, funny Hallmark or Shoebox birthday card and had him sign that.
