Conlin and Vann blocked off, possible active shooter

In Evansville right now there is someone who has been shot and they are evacuating people from their homes in the area and blocking off streets.

The scanner says he has multiple guns and military training.

Cops are asking for long guns for support.

Uncomfirmed he has one rifle and one handgun.

They were asking for an ambulance but canceled it.

They are trying to talk him out right now.

From what I have read, the only victim is the first one. A woman was shot in the head and her kids ran or were escorted to a grocery store close by.

There are apparently hostages in the house with him and he released one who was uninjured.

He was shot in the ribcage where they thought they had an open shot but it was unsuccessful in bringing him down.

AFAIK no officers have been injured.
