AR suffered two freak injuries this season. He's also very young (the guy only recently can legally drink alcohol) and still has a couple of years of physical development to reach parity with a typical NFL rookie.Idunno though. RG3’s game relied too much on option offense and his physical abilities. After he came back from his injury, defenses kinda figured out the option stuff and RG3 lost some of his physical ability. He had no other dimension to his game. He was done.
AR has some other dimensions. We’ll see how long lived his game is.
His mental game (pre-snap reads, pocket presence, route progression reads, etc.) is clearly better than Minshew. His playbook is much more open than Minshew's. He is all upside at this point.
At this point in his career, the "injury prone" knock is complete nonsense. It could prove to be true, of course. But right now, it's just BS generally brought up by people still salty that the Colts didn't draft (the Jeff George-esque) Will Levis.
