I will have my thermos and cookies with me Friday morning in Illinois. Hopefully, if all goes well there, ill have my thermos and cookies Saturday morning in Indiana....
I carry a 2 cup thermos(kinda bullet shaped) w/ black coffee. After it's gone, and into 3-4 hrs of sitting, I break for the campground facilities. There is also a gas station/c store to refill, and stretch the legs.
Recently found a small home-diner that the owner opens for hunting season only. Eggs, toast, bacon $2.99, coffee is $1.00. Owner has 2 grandaughters who help serve/cook, and you can be served in under 20 minutes. Have to leave half the hunt clothes in the truck, to keep any scents away. One of the hunt buddies nicknamed it "Sam and Ellas", but none of us have had any problems.
At noon, I have not seen deer running, mostly early am and dusk. You return to your spot, suit up and catch a great afternoon power nap, before the dusk hunting. Great Day hunting.
