A friend of the family recently brought me over three shotguns that had been left in a foam case out in a barn. Needless to say they were rusted big time. We are talking about a Browning sweet sixteen, Browning Auto 12 and Winchester md.97 They wre in pathetic shape.

I researched using the electro what ever its called way. I made a metal tank, added the baking soda, water and used a old computer 12 volt power supply. It actually worked great. Look it up on youtube if interested. It works.

Any idea if I just cleaned it would it be able to shoot or would it have to be fully restored?

the only way your gun will not be hurt badly in value is if a museum quality restoration is done , ive seen one gun restored that way and the experts thought it was original. the place i know of is called white wolf , but i know they changed the name of it.
