Cleaning Squirrels?

What they look like? I wouldn't have known it even if I did!

Looks like they are a 'Bot-fly' larvae.

Squirrels (Sciurus, rodent) with warbles of the tree squirrel (rodent) bot fly Cuterebra emasculator (Diptera)

I've never seen anything like that on ANY squirrel.

I start at there back legs, I work them out and then cut the base of the tail. Then I stand on the tail and pull the body so all of the skin end up over the head. work the front legs out and cut off the head.

I posted this in another squirrel thread but here you go.

My Grandfather says they don't damage the meat, they live between the skin and muscle membrane but you won't catch me eating a squirrel hosting these things!!!

I do them the same way except hold the feet against a piece of wood and press down on a Buck folding hunter to cut off the feet.

That's the method I use, bump the back of the blade with my fist.
