How many know or remember John 3:18.
This came up today and it's very straightforward.

John 3:18 KJV
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I thought the 'gospel' of prosperity was essentially preaching that god wants both the preacher and I to be wealthy, but he wants the preacher to go first

For God senr NOT his Son into the world to CONDEMN the world, BUT that the world THROUGH HIM might be SAVED.

The Law Condemns, the Gospel Saves. You need both Law and Gospel.

If only there was a church that did both and maintained historic ties to ancient Christianity...

From the congregation? Maybe, but not that I heard. But we're a church that preaches from all of the Bible - good and bad. We work through a book verse by verse; not skipping around to make a "series".
