In over twenty three years working the streets, and after working thousands of accidents, I've NEVER seen anyone wearing a seatbelt killed in an accident.
In fact, I've never met any other Police Officers who have either.
Did you work in Mayberry?

We were just talking about "respectful" arguments and you throw out an insult.Did you work in Mayberry?

Shows real class Benny.
Insult? (*) much?
I just find it really, really hard to believe you've never even met a PO that has never seen someone die while wearing a seat belt, unless the town you worked in has a population of something similar to Mayberry.
Hell, I live in a small town and have lost track of the # of people I know who have had someone close to them die while wearing a belt.
References to Mayberry, Barney Fife, and Andy Griffith, are usually taken as derogatory by LEO's of my generation.I'm fine right here...I never said they all died in this town.
You've never worked with a transfer from a big city?
BTW, I'm still wondering how what I said could be even remotely construed as an insult.
I'll agree those things tend to ruin ones day. But if you can't handle it, switch to another profession. Yes I know your retired, I'm speaking of those currently in the profession. If you choose to be a statistic that's your business.
It's just not fair to the Police, Fire, and EMS personnel who have to drag your corpse out of the vehicle.
Things like that tend to ruin ones day.

Regardless, my seat belt is on before my car goes into drive.
I think the chances of you surviving an accident are much higher if you are wearing a seatbeltl
I I can agree with mandatory safety seats for kids who don't know any better. We don't need to be protected from ourselves. We need to be able to protect ourselves from an overzealous government.
Blessings,
Bill

Add the "Goofy Noob" smiley and it looks like an insult to me.
"Andy Griffith" should be a compliment.
Look around your area for key boxes on,
especially,commercial buildings. There are Knox
key boxes all around Fort Wayne. Nothing new
under the sun.
