Because it's an iron block, I would guess weight between 6-650lbs.How much would an engine like this weigh?
Would you essentially a HD diesel truck transmission, driveshaft bits, and rear end to make it go?
HMOG.
That will fit between the fenders of most GM offerings and yes I agree our time draws close to its end.No replacement for displacement!
Wonder what it would do with a BDS screw blower on it?
With electric motors on the way that will match horsepower & beat torque, I'd say this might be the last 'Mountian Motor'...
So, where is the 70 Vega or 80 Chevette to stuff it into?
Can you fit it under the hood of a 70 Camaro? Chevelle?
Yup, I'm *THAT* generation...
After market T-400's that live behind 4000K HP.Because it's an iron block, I would guess weight between 6-650lbs.
There are plenty of trans rated higher than 1000hp. There are even some 1000hp 700r4's which seems crazy to me.

But say what you will. A stupid fast electric car is fun to watch a couple of times but with out the thunder its really just not the same.
I want to see one in a “smart car”.Okay, who's going to stuff one of those in a Vega?!
yes.
This is the 462 BBC version.
Umm sorry but a 632 is NOT a Mountain Motor. Not even close unless you are talking 1980s technology. No replacement for displacement!

Well I am sure someone will put it into a street car of some kind and that's fine. But it is being marketed as a race only offeringWhy would anyone need a 10 liter, 1000 HP gas engine?
Because, **** you. That's why.
It's got good stuff. I think the cam could be a little bigger just based off other comparable engines I've been around. From https://www.chevrolet.com/performance-parts/crate-engines/big-block/zz-632

Well we are talking street here for the most part.Umm sorry but a 632 is NOT a Mountain Motor. Not even close unless you are talking 1980s technology.
I agree it's no barn burner compared to full tilt engines. The smaller cam specs suggest this thing is for more longevity to me. Would make a really good engine for a dragster. It's got good stuff. I think the cam could be a little bigger just based off other comparable engines I've been around.
