here are some I've had
Lightweight Commander with bone grips, can't remeber where they came from
Springfiled Loaded Model with Linen Micarta. White Micarts looks good, feels good and when ti ages some, it actually gets grain like real ivory.
Colt 70-series with smooth stags
Same gun with antigqued Linen Micarta with Colt medallions
Stainless Combat Commander with Hogue woods grips. Much redder in real life. Finer checkering than factory grips and a wonderful contrast to the stainless
And while not a 1911, here's a Hi-Power with some Water Buffalo grips bought off of ebay
Oh, and since we're looking at pretty grips, here is a buddy's .500 Linebaugh Maximum
