I would like to gather opinions about who makes the most attractive set of 1911 type pistol grips. I would also like to see some pictures if you already own a set of your recomended grips. I am specially interested in full size (GOVERNMENT MODEL) sized grips. Clearly function is important too, but for the sake of this thread, lets make this mostly about looks. Show em if ya got em fellas(ladies too).

I've had a few different pairs on my 1911's. Right now I'm partial to G10 or Alumagrips. Gungrips.net also has grips that you can have engraved with images of your choice.

I have purchased 1911 grips from an ebay seller named gripmaker23. I bought sambar stag and elephant ivory grips and I am well pleased. He used to have a better selection than he does now.

    here are some I've had

Lightweight Commander with bone grips, can't remeber where they came from

Springfiled Loaded Model with Linen Micarta. White Micarts looks good, feels good and when ti ages some, it actually gets grain like real ivory.

Stainless Combat Commander with Hogue woods grips. Much redder in real life. Finer checkering than factory grips and a wonderful contrast to the stainless

And while not a 1911, here's a Hi-Power with some Water Buffalo grips bought off of ebay

Oh, and since we're looking at pretty grips, here is a buddy's .500 Linebaugh Maximum
