I think you nailed how their customer service dept would respond, if they had one.

Why is it a silly question? The blog post contains NO facts, only conjecture. They claim that counterfeit ammo is being sold. By who?Silly question. They are posting a PSA about ammo. Good advice for all of us, especially when we can expect bumpy roads in the near future.
Not a silly question, but don’t expect an answer. Why is it a silly question? The blog post contains NO facts, only conjecture. They claim that counterfeit ammo is being sold. By who?
This sounds more of a sales pitch than anything to me. One of those "our stuff is better than" type thing, so buy from us.@Target Sports USA: Which online retailers are you accusing of this practice? Do you have any proof to offer?
I stand corrected, it’s not a silly question. I was just thinking you will not get an answer. FYI, I have been to gun shows and made a few bad purchases of remanufactured ammo, did it 3 times and will not do it again. I think they were just saying be careful who you buy from and what you think you’re buying. Why is it a silly question? The blog post contains NO facts, only conjecture. I agree with what it sounded like but I will say I have been using them for years and never had problem and they are usually the best price out there for my needs. No, I do not work for them. This sounds more of a sales pitch than anything to me. One of those "our stuff is better than" type thing, so buy from us.
Some get their underwear in a bunch if anyone suggests that there may be risk in cheap. If you've ever contemplated buying reloaded ammo at a gun show, you should be aware of what they're saying.
There can be a difference between cheap and inexpensive. Although they may coincide, proceed with caution. Some get their underwear in a bunch if anyone suggests that there may be risk in cheap.
Well I have, but what I've noticed when I do see that is the online company only accepts things like Bitcoin, PayPal, etc., Where you'll have no recourse when your items never arrive but your money has been takenTarget Sports USA said: "Have you ever found yourself browsing through online ammunition retailers, marveling at the surprisingly low prices?"
No, never.
So why not take many samples to a reputable loader and have them pull the bullet and check out the charge. Remeasure whats there instead of more or less recycling that many rounds. There can be a difference between cheap and inexpensive. Although they may coincide, proceed with caution.
I recently came into about 1K rds of 9mm and several hundred rds of .45 ACP reloaded by a good friend who passed late last year. Some of it is old enough that there is no current data available for the powder he used. It may all end up being used as primed brass. Not at all likely to be fired as-is.
I can pull the bullet and check the charge. "Reputable"? Nobody but the wife and I shoot my reloads so I'm not too worried about reputation. So why not take many samples to a reputable loader and have them pull the bullet and check out the charge.
