    That is a pretty nice idea. I would say if you have room do both.

    I would be worried about the noise with chickens but I have close neighbors

    Roosters are by nature pretty loud & every neighbor in a couple block area would probably be annoyed by them, but in general hens are not that bad and some breeds of chickens are more docile & quiet than others, for instance my Mille Fleur d'Uccle hens are very quiet birds, they rarely if ever even sing an "egg song" which is usually when hens make most of their noise.

    I plan to raise and keep both as soon as I get out of the city. I have had both in the past and neither take up much space. Both have there advantages and both are great to eat.

    Doing some research and I excited about raising rabbits. I think for in the city they are a better option. I think the key is to learn how to clean, prepare, and care for them while we have time. Then if the SHTF ramp up volume.

    Still have some research to do before I am sure but I think rabbits are a good option
