I don't think it's CGI. I watch our guys programs robots in our shop and it's pretty amazing what they can make them do.

And those are just robots for putting together automotive assemblies.

The USAF has deployed robot dogs - or is it dog robots? - at Eglin AFB for security patrol duties:

Looks similar to Spot (the Boston Dynamics robot dog) but different company, claims much more energy efficient than BD.

The movements looks weird because strength isn't an issue.
