Would adding a bi-pod to a ar15 pistol classify the weapon as AOW (according to BATF)?

I am thinking technically a bipod could be used as a fore grip which negate the pistol rating (weapon designed to be fired with 1 hand)

I would not think so. I know of quite a few Chargers and T/Cs w/ bipods that would have the same issue (unless you tried going w/ one of those bipod/grip designs that is specifically meant to function as a grip.)

bipod itself isnt AOW but if you get one of those bigrip/grip pod things it would

22charger has a bipod and its not AOW

    Bipods are completely = A-OK.

    Monopods/grips/gripods = not A-OK

    Makes complete sense, doesn't it?
