I wouldn't blame democrats exclusively for this. It's the neo-lib/con ideology at play. The same ideology that brings people to believe we need to spread democracy to other nations, is the ideology that believes all people are entitled to our way of life.

Conservative politicians have complained about illegal immigration for years. But their donors need nannies. So they pretend they can’t do anything about it and then fundraise off of it. Yeah. Those Neocon ****s like Haley enriching themselves from other people’s misery.

They were right leaning libertarians on conservative issues and left leaning on social issues trying to the use the GOP to gain traction for political purposes because the LP doesn't have any political clout. They tried that route once when David was a LP VP candidate and came to the conclusion that it got them nowhere, so they hitched their wagon to the GOP.

Thier open border stance is born out of their Libertarian core. They were a mish-mash incorporation comprising of gop., libertarian and modern social liberalism.

Open borders is a core tenet of Libertarianism shared predominantly by Democrat policies that encourages illegal immigration sending a message to them to head this way.

I voted libertarian for a couple elections many years ago and I do remember the open boarders policy as part of the campaign. However the OB's policy included NO government aid of any kind. You can come in but you have to make it on your own. Actually sounds better than come on in and get all the free stuff you can carry. Jim.

With the Democrats in charge government aid goes hand in hand with the open border policy that the LP advocates for. The LP can't have it both ways. If they don't want them to have government aid, then don't advocate for them to freely cross the border because they're gonna get it from the Democrats no matter what the LP says.
