Yes, and let us all give thanks he is not on the USSC. Jim.
Luna is still pushing on the "Inherent Contempt" resolution. The pressure is driving the House Speaker to attempt a rapid Federal Court lawsuit solution to avoid resorting to that.
I don't believe there are enough votes in the House to pass her resolution (yet). A few GOP House members consider her resolution "too drastic" as it hasn't been used since mid-1930's. They're also worried about being reelected in their purple "swing" districts in November.
Luna's resolution must have a viable path to getting enough votes to pass. If it goes to a vote and fails, it's a dead resolution; permanently ended. That's the practical aspect of it. They (House GOP) were lucky to get the votes needed to pass the Impeachment Articles.
Not sure how that would affect Merrick Garland. How much more likely is this to happen if Joe has an on-camera batch of gibberish, like the one he had at the debate?
It depends on who offers him what. He is on team Biden until he gets what he wants. Unless there is a dem in the WH and dems control the Senate anything .gov ain't happening with the crap this guy has pulled. Not sure how that would affect Merrick Garland.

From 2 States...hhhhmmmm.Do we yet know who the Republicans are who didn't vote for this?
Edit - Oops, reading is fundamental...
From the article...
Reps. John Duarte (R-CA), Dave Joyce (R-OH), Tom McClintock (R-CA), and Mike Turner (R-OH) voted against the resolution. Joyce was the lone Republican to vote against the successful contempt resolution in June.
