Now that I over being butt hurt...The same arguments being made against the RIA can be made against every manufacturer, they all put out lemons.
I've seen people on this site bi%^H and moan about almost every manufacturer.

Ruger and S&W made me one, I will never buy a semi-auto from either of these two companies, with the exception of a MK series .22 from Ruger.
As for their customer service (RIA), from everything I've ever read their CS is one of the best out there.
I have had bad experiences with some mid-range guns out of the box. Springfield to name one. Colts as well. Thing is, once put right they run for a much longer time than an RIA. I tend to repair my guns even if new. I hate to send them off and wait....wait....wait. Hey, I heard that somewhere recently....
The butt hurt thing was more for being labelled a gun snob and as I read back it was not you so apology's. But seriously, not everything is in a link or in print somewhere. Gets my hair up sometimes. Guess I am old school.
As to RIA's CS, that to is something that varies. Depends on who you talk to. I have heard some poor things along with the good. Again, I know people who have had to deal with upset customers over RIA's. That is not in a link anywhere.
I have had great CS from Springfield and Ruger but there are folks that disagree with me. That is not in a link anywhere either.
