    I never even knew about this coffee DRM thing, until my dad mentioned it back before Christmas. He has been cutting the tops off of "real" K-cups, and taping them on the knock-offs. How bizarre.

    We have a Keurig, but never had an issue with it. I use the little refillable non-Keurig-brand cups and my own coffee all the time.

    I've always thought this whole DRM concept was foolish. If you make a superior product, there is no reason to forcibly lock folks in/out. Having competitors make the one-off, low volume, specialty stuff that uses your product would actually drive MORE business to you.

    I built my own external enclosures with PVC pipe and conduit sections. They'd need tools to disconnect them. One covering the front door takes a 20 foot ladder to access it.
