Texas police officer fatally shoots woman heard on video shouting, 'I'm pregnant'
She was not pregnant, and this is a stupid headline.
Moron steals a cops taser and shoots him with it. Things obviously escalate, and she gets shot.
Don't taze cops.
AFL-CIO goes full Marxist...
We all need to seize the means of production
After last week going all, viva la revolución...
America has been exceptional, in that we have not followed the general practice of killing off the opposition after a win.
Our Revolution yielded a new form of government that incorporated free elections and peaceful changes of power (at least until 2016). We did not proceed to kill the Tories that had supported the Throne.
After our Civil War when won did not lead to the purging of former rebels. It did lead to an oath to the constitution for elected officials (which it seems they do not take seriously) and military.
America has been exceptional, let us hope it will continue to be.

Goes? That would imply they once weren't full Marxist.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to HoughMade again.
At some point in history unions were helpful.
When my father graduated 6th grade he went to work in a sweat shop working 12 - 16 hours a day for 50 cents a week of which his father gave him 5 cents. That was around 1914.
When Samuel Gompers was a cigar maker he stood up for a fellow worker and organized his shop to help him.
AFL was an necessary evil. Not so much now.
I think initially unions had a legitimate purpose in labor. But after achieving that purpose, it's mostly an organization of corruption and cronyism, just like the primary mode of socialism.
I was not talking about unions in general. I was talking about the AFL-CIO...
...but I would note that one can be a Marxist and still be in favor of reasonable safety and compensation for workers...though one does not have to be one to believe in that.
In other words, being in favor of some reasonable things doesn't mean you are not a Marxist.
I believe Unions in general are a bane on America "NOW".
I remember saying in the '80,s when Lech Lawesa founded Solidarity, "In the USSR a labor union is a step toward capitalism as opposed to a step toward communism in America."
Pretty much. But here in the US, in the 80s I remember in the union people I worked with mostly didn't give a ****. A few really productive workers did most of the work while the rest mostly spent their efforts figuring out ways to avoid it.
