Looking to build my first AR, thinking about going with a PSA kit and was wondering if there is a decent deal in Indy for a quality lower, otherwise I would probably go with psa which is 80+tax/ship/ffl, so total probably $110-120.

I bought an SAA lower from SAA because they were the cheapest at the time. Get whatever's cheap. SAA, Palmetto, etc. Most are forged at the same place, and Aero Precision has been taking up market share like no one's business on the machining...just different roll marks.

I bought a DPMS lower at the Indy 500 last year for about 99.00. Walking through last week I saw some at about 89.00. I know the 500 is gone but it will be back soon.

    Hiding from reality
Just a of word warning about Surplus Arms and Ammo, I ordered a few parts from them on the 14th of this month, was billed on the 15th, and parts did not hit the UPS hub until the 21st. Delivery will not be until the 29th. They advertise that items ship in three days, and it took 7. I did send an email requesting an update on the shipping, and got zero response. Don't expect it quick if you order from them.

Just a of word warning about Surplus Arms and Ammo...

I ordered some various flavors of ammo from them, and had to ship things back and forth a few times, before we got it all sorted out.

What I've gleaned, is that their brick & mortar store is really awesome, but the online business wing is like an amorous monkey, and a football with loose morals.

Too bad, because it will probably dissuade me from ordering from them in the future.

This looks like a good deal on a decent lower:

Surplus Arms & Ammo LOW15 Stripped AR Lower Receiver

order this, ship it to BZGUNZ in plainfield, total will be about $95 transfer and all....

looks like this deal is out of stock, thanks for the heads up though.

Might just go ahead and order the PSA kit which might take 2-3 weeks to arrive, and either pick up the lower locally or order online if another $50-60 deal pops up before the kit gets here.

anywhere local with price less than like $90-100 after taxes? And anyone carry PSA lowers in town, pulled the trigger on the psa kit and might want to make it match.

Buck Shot Sporting goods here in Winchester has the Palmetto State Lowers for $85+tax if I remember right. I'm building a 300 blackout on one and I didn't have any problems building the lower up. I haven't been able to acquire a PSA upper yet, but I have an old Vietnam era A2 style upper and a Spikes Tactical upper, and both of them fit fine on it.

thanks, just what I am looking for, but winchester is like 1.5hrs from me so farther than I'd be willing to go.

I know they do some shipping, but with the cost of shipping and FFL transfers, that would kill your whole price point.
