I'm planning on doing an AR build and plan on picking up the lower this weekend. I want a rifle that looks as good as it shoots. My intended upper is a BCM, but they don't sell stripped lowers. Can anybody give input as to which lower best matches BCM's finish?

Bonus if it's one that Bradis carries!

From what the internet just told me is that bcm uppers are dark and kinda shiny. So primary arms and delton come to mind. Honestly. If your that worried about why not wait til you have an upper in hand and go to bradis and match it up. I'm sure they'll make fun of you only a little bit.

If this is true, my Seekins and Mega forged lowers are dark and shiny.

Another vote for rattlecan. Even if you just use the string paint from Hobby Lobby, it adds a personal touch that says "Yeah, that one's mine"

Not really a fan of hydro dip because of the way it will peel and scratch over time if you don't stay up on the treatment. Who here does THAT MUCH maintenance in their tools? No insult to those who like it, just not for me.

As far as rattlecan, I just want black and I'm not much into having to do touch-ups when the rifle is walked through a briar patch or shoot supported from a tree.

The Cerakote/Duracoat option is just more than I'm wanting to put into this and I've even seen Cerakote chip and peel on my current AR.

I'll most likely just leave it as-is until my OCD begins to keep me up at night over it. I still have a loooooong way to go before I begin worrying about that.
