Got a little antsy today and did some painting. (Sorry about the huge size)
Did you rebuild it to use as an SBR or arr you going to run two identical rifles: one SBR and one midlength?
I agree, but I'm a hypocrite . I really really want to paint a rifle someday. The only reason I haven't so far is because I always fear that I will end up selling it later and nobody will want a rifle the way that I painted it. It's the same reason I baby all the guns I own, always afraid that I will need to sell it later and will ruin the resale value and the chances of selling to anyone. I'm a worry wart with OCD and Anal Retentive, it's a challenge daily!Very nice! It's nice to see guys treat these rifles like a rifle and not just a pretty thing that they don't want to ever scratch.

How do you like that Vortex optic? Is it first or second focal plane?
Does that paint stripper mess the finish up on the receivers or anything? If not, I might have to try it on something. Maybe I need to pick up a beater rifle from a scratch and dent sale somewhere and have some fun for a change. All my stuff is always "business only", it would be nice to have something that I can get "dirty" with.I know what you're saying. That's why I use Krylon and don't put a clear coat finish on it. That way I can just get the Krylon spray paint stripper and wash it all away.

Thanks for the advice. I just may give this a shot.I used Acetone and never had any issues with the finish on any parts I've ever rattle canned. You'd probably be fine. I've yet to see any negative side effects from using acetone on my rifle. That's just me though. I didn't really research it before I did it.
