Any of you guys shoot the Appleseed matches? Does the format make it easier for a semi auto, or can you be competitive with a bolt action rifle?

I'm also not clear on the rules as far as scopes vs. Iron Sights.
    Any help is appreciated!!!

"We'll run what you brung!" that's one of our motto's.

A semi-auto will be easier, as will a mag fed rifle. It is completely not necessary though. Scope or Irons is your choice, kinda like stick vs automatic. Either will do the job.

Just come, bring ammo, bring a friend, and have a ball.

I am very competitive w/ a bolt action. in fact, i prefer it, but most run some sort of semi auto.

either way, dont let equipment talk you out of going, its worth going regardless of what you have.

I think I may try one of these out this spring/summer. I consider myself a decent shot but would definitely like to improve.
