Have you though about bringing in a long armed track hoe and adding an attached pool to the side of the creek?
Those never last long. Due to seasonal rains, silt, sand, and gravel. Depending on the size, it will probably be filled in in a year.
We did a bridge at the house to cross the creek which involved bypass pumping the creak around us. We had a hole that was 20'X20'X10'deep. After construction it took three rain events to fill it back in as if it was never there.
I have also dipped 7-8 tri-axle loads of gravel out of the creek to backfill the bridge abutments. Took one season and it is filled back in also.
Do what you want but I think it would be a waste of $$$.
