Since every male citizen of this country enters the unorganized militia at the age of 17, yes this is the kind of grooming (AKA education) all our young citizens need.

Further the Indiana Constitution Article 12 states: "Section 1. A militia shall be provided and shall consist of all persons over the age of seventeen (17) years, except those persons who may be exempted by the laws of the United States or of this state. The militia may be divided into active and inactive classes and consist of such military organizations as may be provided by law."

Why do we not educate our young citizens on this fact, and properly prepare them?

Legislators need to listen to the majority of Americans who want universal background checks and assault type weapons ban! This is Not taking away hand guns and rifles ! We had a ban on assault type weapons for 10 years and it worked! Maybe if some of this was in place in Tennessee 3 children and 3 adults would be alive today!
